I see anything that can be considered reliable will be bought by the ISPs and then that will filter its way down.
With that in mind, if the sales of the Nexus 9000 platform are solid, I think the concept and associated vendor technologies are here to stay. Just another reason for the old-school engineers to start widening their skill set. Get a few new certs/skills, and make yourself indispensable!
